Scene 1 (Arriving at academy)

[Chelsea draws a picture of herself on a horse. The movie logo is shown. Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea travel to Alpine Academy in the camper. Barbie is driving. Skipper is using her pink tablet. Stacie and Chelsea are looking out the windows. At the academy, Etienne cleans a saddle and Marlene hangs up a riding crop. Students ride horses. Max puts flowers in a bedroom and Marie cleans up dog paw prints, but Sebastian immediately creates more. Barnaby the goat steals a fly bonnet from a washing line. Marlene cleans a trophy cabinet. Barbie and her sisters encounter a herd of goats on the road. Etienne carries a hay bale with Popcorn and Sebastian on top. One of the dogs adjusts an old photo of Alpine Academy. When the Roberts arrive at Alpine, Barbie honks the horn in the camper.]
Barbie: Ah! We made it.
[Indoors, there are two dogs named Popcorn and Sebastian are on a windowsill. Sebastian is asleep. Popcorn looks out the window and sees Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea arriving. Popcorn barks and wags her tail. She jumps on Sebastian so he wakes up. Popcorn runs away and Sebastian falls off the windowsill.]
Stacie: I gotta go, I gotta go, I gotta go!
Barbie: Last one out's a rotten cheese!
[Stacie exits the camper first and takes in a deep breath.]
Stacie: Just breathe that air! Very Alpsy.
Chelsea: Look! Look! Horses! Let's go riding! Can we please? Can we?
Stacie: Chelsea, chill. We've got all month to ride the horses.
Skipper: [Facing a mountain] Whoa!
Barbie: I know! It's the Matterhorn! Isn't it amazing?
Skipper: [Using tablet] No, I mean this LCD screen! Thirty-three megapixel resolution with 24.7 million colors! It's like we're there!
Barbie: Skipper, we are there.
Skipper: Oh, yeah. Nice mountains. [Uses tablet] But on this baby I can zoom in!
Marlene: [Comes outside] Barbie!
Barbie: Aunt Marlene!
Marlene: Skipper! Stacie! Chelsea! Welcome to the Alpine Riding Academy!
Barbie: [Hugs Marlene] Thank you so much for having us.
[Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea chatter excitedly and hug Marlene. Their cousin Max comes outside holding Sebastian.]
Max: [Offers handshake] Hello, Barbie!
Barbie: Hello, Max. [Tries to shake Max's hand.]
Marie: Barbie!
[Max's twin Marie rushes past Max and jumps on Barbie and hugs her so hard that she and Barbie fall down. Max's glasses get knocked onto Sebastian.]
Barbie: Whoa!
Marlene: Oh, Marie!
Barbie: Hi, Marie!
Marie: You're really here!
[Popcorn wags her tail and licks Barbie's face.]
Max: Please excuse my sister. [Puts his glasses back on] She was raised by squirrels.
[Sebastian barks.]
Marlene: I'm so glad you're all here! Please, come inside.
[Max pushes a suitcase with Sebastian on top.]
Max: Barbie, I love the hand-tooled detail on your luggage. It's awfully smart.
Barbie: Thanks.
[Marie holds a suitcase and kicks it as she brings it indoors.]
Marie: I got a suitcase just like it, except mine is covered with scorpions.
[Popcorn brings a suitcase in by flipping it over and over again. Marlene, Marie and Max show everyone to their room.]
Marie: Get out of the way!
[Max opens the door to Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea's room. Marie and Max enter with Sebastian and Popcorn, followed by Barbie, Skipper, Stacie, Chelsea and Marlene. Skipper is looking at her tablet.]
Barbie and Chelsea: Ooh!
Stacie: Whoa!
[Sebastian sits by Max and wags his tail. Popcorn chases Marie as she runs around the room.]
Max: This is it. [Gestures to vase] The flowers were my little touch.
Marie: And I picked off most of the bugs.
Chelsea: [Worried] Most of the bugs?
Marie: Oh, and I put sweets on all of your pillows, just like in a hotel!
[Popcorn licks melted sweets on a pillow. Marie quickly flips the pillow to hide it.]
Marie: Oh, 'course, that was three days ago and some of them melted, and Popcorn ate the rest, but you can still smell them when you sleep!
[Popcorn flips the pillow back over to lick the sweets. Barbie and Skipper look at each other while Stacie and Chelsea stare at Marie.]
Marlene: Thank you, children.
[Marie picks up Popcorn to stop her from licking the pillow.]
Marie: [Laughs] Popcorn!
[Popcorn barks.]
Marlene: Now back to your chores.
Stacie: I got dibs on the top bunk!
Chelsea: No, me!
[Stacie and Chelsea play Rock, Paper, Scissors.]
Stacie and Chelsea: One, two, three, shoot...
Stacie: Yes!
Chelsea: No!
[Skipper takes the top bunk on the other bunk bed. A horse whinnies outside.]
Barbie: The room's perfect, Aunt Marlene, and I can't wait to find my horse!
Chelsea: Your champion horse! Barbie's gonna win the Pacific Steeplechase with it!
Barbie: Well, I don't know about that.
Skipper: Of course you'll win. You're only the best rider on the West Coast.
Barbie: Thanks, but that depends a lot on finding just the right horse.
Marlene: The horse of your dreams, hm? Every rider has one.
Barbie: Something like that.
Marlene: Well, I believe we raise the finest jumping horses in all of Switzerland. I'm certain you'll find one here that is to your liking.
Chelsea: [Shows Marlene her picture] Have you got one that looks like this?
Marlene: My, that's quite a horse.
Chelsea: Isn't it?! I hope I brought enough glitter.
Stacie: When can we get started?
Marlene: How about now?
Stacie: Yay!
Chelsea: Woohoo!
Marlene: Let's go!
[Skipper stays on her bed looking at her tablet.]
Barbie: Skipper, don't you wanna see the horses, too?
Skipper: You guys go ahead. I need to update my blog.
Barbie: You used to love horses. When you were younger we couldn't get you off them.
Skipper: Well, I guess people change, and right now, all my peeps are at Tech-Con, trying out the latest gear, while I'm stuck here listening to cows yodel.
[Barbie looks disappointed. A cow moos outside. Barbie smiles at Skipper and Skipper smiles back.]

Scene 2 (Meeting horses)

[Outside, Marie and Max walk with Stacie and Chelsea. Marie and Max lead some horses by the reins.]
Marie: [To Stacie] So, first time on a horse, is it?
Stacie: Yeah, it's my first, but it won't take me long to ace it, like I do every sport.
Max: Still, you might want to go slowly at first.
Stacie: Thanks, but not too slow. Did I mention I'm kind of a natural jock?
Max: Yes. We caught it the first time.
Marlene: We'll match Chelsea and Stacie with their horses first. Girls, meet your teachers.
[Marlene gestures to some horses in a corral. Chelsea and Stacie go to look at them.]
Chelsea: Ooh, I want that one! Or that one! Can I have two?
Stacie: Can we pick whichever horse we want?
Marlene: No, no, cherie. The beginning riders never pick their horses.
Chelsea: Huh?
Marlene: The horses pick you.
Stacie: [Confused] 'Scuse me?
Max: You'll see. Step into the corral and--
[Marie interrupts. Max looks at her, annoyed.]
Marie: Then stand really still!
[Stacie and Chelsea stand in the corral and some horses come up to them. Chelsea looks hopeful as a horse comes closer to her. The horse whinnies and sniffs Chelsea, then walks away.]
Chelsea: [Disappointed] Aw.
Stacie: It's okay, Chels.
[A horse comes up to Stacie. Stacie touches the horse and the horse taps Stacie with its nose. Stacie giggles and the horse nuzzles her.]
Barbie: Looks like you've got a new bestie, Stace.
Stacie: What's her name?
Marlene: Stacie, meet Pepper.
Stacie: Nice to meet ya, Pepper.
[Pepper snorts and looks happy. Two more horses look at Chelsea and then walk away. Chelsea sighs in disappointed. A small pony named Dash sniffs her.]
Marlene: It looks like you, too, have been chosen, Chelsea. Meet Dash.
[Dash whinnies happily and looks excited to meet Chelsea. Chelsea looks at Dash's small size.]
Chelsea: Where's the rest of her?
Marlene: I'm afraid that's all there is, but Dash is a very sweet pony, and she seems to really like you.
Chelsea: But she's so little! Why can't I have a big horse like Stacie's?
Barbie: Chelsea, give Dash a chance. There'll be plenty of time for big horses when you're a little bigger.
[Chelsea looks annoyed and groans. A man named Etienne comes outside.]
Etienne: Catastrophe! Disaster! Calamity! C'est choquant, quelle horreur! Madame Marlene, we are ruined!
Marlene: What is it this time, Etienne?
Etienne: Look at these fly bonnets! Just look at them!
Marlene: So?
Etienne: "So?" I ordered them in aubergine to match the halters! But look! Look! [To Chelsea] Would you call that aubergine? Hm?
Chelsea: Um, no?
Max: He has a point. That is so not aubergine.
Etienne: You see? The child is clearly offended! How are we supposed to win a tournament with clashing fly bonnets? Even the flies will be laughing at us!
Stacie: "Tournament?" I like the sound of that.
Marlene: The annual tournament between our academy and all the other local riding schools, and the prize money is substantial. This year we're hosting.
Etienne: [Scoffs] But not if our horses are too embarrassed to take the field!
Marlene: I'd better take care of this. Max, Marie, you get Stacie and Chelsea started. Barbie, you of course may choose your own horse. Look over the thoroughbreds in the stable. Every one's a prize jumper.
[Marlene leaves with Etienne.]
Etienne: Did you see the stitching? I specifically asked for a cross-hatch stitch. This is not a cross or even a hatch! And did you see the halters...
Stacie: Who was that?
Max: That was Monsieur Etienne, our riding master.
Barbie: Is he always like that? Like he just bit into a lemon?
Marie: Pretty much. He's a good teacher, though.
[Barbie laughs. Dash sniffs Chelsea and Chelsea gestures for Dash to shoo.]
Chelsea: Go!
Marie: [To Dash] Come on, girl! Good girl.
[Marie puts a saddle on Dash.]
Marie: [To Chelsea] She's all yours.
[Chelsea sits down and folds her arms.]
Chelsea: Hmph.
Stacie: Okay! So how do I get on this thing?
Max: Ah, yes! Well, before we begin, I thought it might be instructive to review the history of the English, or eventing, saddle. [Shows Stacie a diagram of a saddle.]
Stacie: Is that necessary--
[Max uses a pointer to gesture to the diagram.]
Max: Here you'll see the gullet, the cantle, the girth buckle, the--
[Marie interrupts Max. Max looks annoyed and rolls his eyes.]
Marie: What my brother is trying to say is, stick your foot in here and throw your leg over the horse. [Nods head at horse] That's the big thing right there.
Stacie: Got it! Thanks.
Max: Right. Of course. Who needs 400 years of tradition? [Rolls up diagram] Fine. Just jump on and kick her into drive.
[Marie smiles and shrugs. Stacie starts to get on Pepper.]
Skipper: Wait! First time on a horse? Definitely video-worthy.
[Skipper films Stacie on her tablet. Stacie poses next to Pepper.]
Skipper: Look at that style, that confident approach!
Stacie: [Starts getting on Pepper] "As the future champion approaches, the animal humbly yields to its new master."
[Pepper starts to walk away before Stacie is on the saddle.]
Stacie: [Falls] Whoa!
[Stacie lands in some mud. Three boys named Jonas, Albain and Theo are on horses nearby. They see Stacie fall and laugh at her.]
Jonas: Look! Alpine has a new trick rider!
Theo: What do you call that move? "The mud dive?"
[Jonas, Albain and Theo laugh again. Stacie stands up.]
Stacie: Whoa! [Slips on mud and falls.]
[Jonas, Albain and Theo laugh harder. Skipper and Marie look annoyed at the boys.]
Albain: Hey, Marie, if that's your best rider, our winning streak seems pretty safe.
[Jonas, Albain and Theo laugh. Jonas notices Skipper using her tablet.]
Jonas: Hey, if you're looking up "world's greatest rider," I'm right here.
Skipper: Actually, I was just looking up "doofus." See, right here.
[Skipper shows Jonas a picture she just made of his face on a monkey's body. Albain and Theo laugh.]
Theo: She got you good, Jonas!
Albain: How droll.
[Jonas groans and rolls his eyes. Jonas leaves and Albain and Theo follow him. A boy laughs as they leave. Marie blows a raspberry at them.]
Max: Don't mind them. They're from Ecole Montagne, the riding school just down the road. They're just trying to get under our skin, with the tournament coming up.
Marie: 'Course, it doesn't really matter. We always lose anyway. Usually to them.
Max: [Enthusiastically] You never know. This year could be different. Statistically speaking, we're bound to win within... Hmm... [Loses enthusiasm] 63 years.
Stacie: [Starts getting on Pepper] Now that I'm on the team, we'll cream those creeps!
[Pepper starts to walk away before Stacie is on the saddle.]
Stacie: [Falls] Whoa! Ugh!
[Skipper takes a photo on her tablet.]
Skipper: Yep. Classic.
[Marie and Max giggle. Pepper offers Stacie a towel.]

Scene 3 (Barbie meets Finian)

[Barbie arrives at the stable. Horses whinny. Barbie pets a nearby horse. It shuns her. Another horse nuzzles Barbie but then sneezes on her. A horse named Reynaud turns and faces away from Barbie. She pets a different horse. Popcorn sees Sebastian sleeping in the stable. She jumps on the hay bale he is on, propelling him into the air. Marlene catches him.]
Marlene: Why, hello, Sebastian!
[Marlene puts Sebastian down next to Popcorn. They wag their tails.]
Marlene: Hello, Popcorn. Now, run along. [To Barbie] Sorry that took so long, Barbie dear. Monsieur Etienne can be a bit... Temperamental at times.
Barbie: I noticed.
Marlene: He's worth it. We're hoping he can lead us to our first tournament win in 11 years.
Barbie: I'm sure you've got lots of good riders.
Marlene: [Sadly] We did once, but frankly, enrolment has been incredibly low these last few years... [Composes herself and smiles] So, have you found your horse yet? Every one in this group is from champion stock.
Barbie: I'm just... not sure.
[Barbie looks at a horse (Finian) that happens to be next to her. Finian is eating.]
Barbie: This one seems nice.
[Finian's eyes widen as he notices Barbie. He allows Barbie to pet him and nuzzles her lightly.]
Marlene: Ah, Finian. Excellent choice! His sire was winner of the Virginia Gold Cup, so he'll be right at home in America. You two would make an excellent team.
Barbie: Hmm... Maybe.
[Barbie smiles and pets Finian while he chews his food.]

Scene 4 (Barnaby wakes up Barbie)

[The next day, Barbie's blanket is pulled off of her in the morning. She grunts as she tries to pull it back on. Barbie yawns and sees Barnaby at the end of her bed. Barbie screams and some yodelling music plays in the background. Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea are alarmed. Barbie gets up and tries to pull the blanket out of Barnaby's mouth. Her sisters help and they end up playing tug of war with the goat.]
Barbie: Oh no you don't, you grabby goat!
Marie: [Opens door] Wakey wakey! Oh, hi, Barnaby.
Barbie: You know him? He's eating my blanket!
Marie: Yes, he likes wool. Last week he ate all my socks.
Max: [Walks past doorway] It's a miracle he's still alive.
[Marie pets Barnaby and he lets go of the blanket. Barbie and her sisters yelp and fall on the ground. The yodelling background music stops. Marie winces.]
Marie: Breakfast in 20 minutes! Hope you like Kartoffelkuchen!
[Barnaby bleats and the yodelling background music plays as he eats one of the flowers Max put in the room.]

Scene 5 (Barbie sees Majesty)

[Later, Stacie is outside combing Pepper.]
Etienne: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, mamselle. We swoop with the curry comb, not attack, hm? Long curving motions, ah, comme ca, and swoop, oui? And swoop, yes? Bend the knees and swoop, ah?
Stacie: Got it. Swoop, swoop, bend...
[Pepper hits Stacie with her tail.]
Stacie: Hey!
[Pepper laughs at Stacie.]
Stacie: Gimme a break! I'm new at swooping!
Barbie: [Puts bow on Dash] Perfect! Dash, you're going to be so pretty! Don't you think so, Chels?
[Chelsea looks sadly at a big horse. Dash bumps Chelsea to get her attention. Chelsea grunts and Dash looks away as if she did nothing. Dash neighs and Chelsea groans.]
Barbie: I can't wait to get out and feel the wind in my hair!
[The scene transitions to everyone horse-riding. Barbie is riding Finian, Skipper is riding Juniper, Stacie is riding Pepper, Chelsea is riding Dash, and Etienne is riding Reynaud. There are also two students riding. The horses are walking slowly.]
Barbie: [Sighs] Yippee-ki-yay...
[Skipper's horse Juniper ducks to avoid a branch. Skipper is looking at her tablet so she doesn't see it.]
Skipper: [Hits branch] Ow! O-W.
[Juniper does an eye roll.]
Barbie: Hyah!
[Finian speeds up.]
Etienne: Ah-ah. Reign back, Mademoiselle Barbie! No faster than a walk, please. We must make certain everyone is riding at the same pace, n'est-ce pas?
[Barbie sighs and makes Finian turn around. She looks dejected until she sees a a horse (Majesty) in the distance next to a waterfall.]
Barbie: Whoa...
[Barbie looks away for a moment. Majesty is gone when Barbie looks again.]
Barbie: Skipper, Stacie, did you see that?
Skipper: See what?
Barbie: That horse!
Stacie: What are you talking about?
Barbie: I guess... Nothing. Nothing at all.

Scene 6 (Barbie meets Philippe)

[In the evening, people are eating indoors.]
Marlene: Any dessert? Anything at all?
Max: No more for me!
Marlene: Anybody like a cup of tea? Yes?
[Barbie is outside.]
Barbie: Now tell me the truth, Barnaby. Doesn't clover taste better than wool?
[Barnaby bleats.]
Barbie: [Laughs] I'm glad you agree.
[Sebastian and Popcorn are barking on top the the Alpine logo. Sebastian licks Popcorn. Popcorn pushes Sebastian down and jumps on him. Barbie looks at the logo.]
Barbie: [Gasps] That's the horse...
[Barbie hears Etienne singing "Fais dodo". She follows his voice to the stable, where he is brushing a horse named Reynaud.]
Etienne: [Singing] Elle fait des gateaux
Papa est en bas
Il fait du chocolat
Fais do do, Reynaud
Mon petit frere
Fais do do
T'auras du lolo
[Barbie applauds and scares Etienne. He screams and throws the brush in the air.]
Etienne: What-- Oh. Mademoiselle Barbie, you startled me!
Barbie: I'm sorry. I was enjoying your singing.
[Reynaud snorts.]
Barbie: So was Reynaud.
Etienne: Oh, heh, mm, it is nothing. It calms him down.
Barbie: Monsieur Etienne, may I ask you a question... about the academy logo?
Etienne: "Logo?"
Barbie: You know, the sign in front? The horse.
Etienne: Ah, that. [Laughs] What can I say? It is a horse.
Barbie: Well, yes, of course, but a very unusual horse, wouldn't you say? I mean, those markings...
Etienne: Why the interest?
Barbie: It's just... I don't know, I feel like I've... seen that horse somewhere.
Etienne: That is highly doubtful. The horse you speak of does not exist.
[Etienne is trying to feed Reynaud but he is distracted by his conversation with Barbie. He moves a bucket of food away from Renaud while he speaks, so Reynaud neighs.]
Barbie: It doesn't? But, the sign...
Etienne: ls of a fable of an ancient herd called, "The Majestique." They were said to roam wild somewhere in these mountains. The story is that they are descended from a breed created over a thousand years ago, especially for the princesses of the Kyburg royalty and fiercely loyal to them. They protected them from harm, and the princesses were just as devoted and protective of them. A strong, fearless breed, they were said to have such superb jumping skill, that they almost seemed to fly. They are known by the strange pink streak in their manes. The smartest, the fastest, the bravest horses ever known to man!
[Barbie imagines the horses vividly. She shakes her head as if she was in a trance.]
Etienne: Many doubt that they were ever real, since none has ever been caught, or even photographed.
Barbie: But... what about the painting?
Etienne: [Laughs] What of it? [Laughs] There are also paintings of fairies and mermaids, non?
Barbie: So, you don't think the Majestique horses are real?
Etienne: Mmm... Once, when I was a child, I thought I saw...
Philippe: Nonsense!
[Barbie and Etienne gasp as Philippe enters.]
Philippe: Foolish twaddle! You have always believed in fairy tales, Etienne.
Etienne: Philippe! How dare you defile my stable! You, you festering boil on a baboon's backside!
[Philippe stands on a hay bale so he can be face to face with Etienne.]
Philippe: And you are the hair of a pig's nostril!
Etienne: I spit on the toe of your uncle!
Philippe: I stuff your nose with cabbages!
[Etienne and Philippe have their heads pressed together. Barbie separates them.]
Barbie: Uh, hi, my name's Barbie. I gather you two know each other.
[Barbie offers a handshake to Philippe. Philippe takes Barbie's hand.]
Philippe: Excusez-moi, mademoiselle. I am Monsieur Philippe, riding master extraordinaire of L'Ecole Montagne.
[Reynaud neighs and rolls his eyes.]
Philippe: [To Barbie] Enchante. I speak up, only because this pig of a dog of a mule, fills your head with phooey-hooey. There is no such breed as the Majestique... and there never was. No horse is that remarkable. They are merely dumb beasts, meant to serve their masters, and fear the riding crop!
[Philippe whips his riding crop around loudly. The horses get scared.]
Philippe: But why do you ask about Majestiques? Have you... seen something?
Barbie: Me? Um, uh [laughs] How could I see something that doesn't exist?
Philippe: Yes. Of course. Utter foolishness! Etienne, it is chilly. [Throws sweater at Etienne] Maman says to wear your sweater.
Etienne: Tell her the soup was yummy.
Philippe: And how was the baguette?
Etienne: I did not receive a baguette.
Philippe: Exactly.
[Philippe leaves and sits somewhere by himself. He looks at a photo of him and Etienne when they were younger. Philippe uses a magnifying glass on the photo and sees a Majestique horse in the background. He laughs to himself.]

Scene 7 (Barbie meets Majesty)

[The next day, Barbie and Finian go back to the spot where Barbie saw Majesty. Barbie looks hard but Majesty isn't there.]
Barbie: Hmm. Come on, Finian. Let's go home.
[The grass rustles and a creature's silhouette passes by.]
Barbie: What is it?
[The creature makes a noise. Finian gets scared and stands on his hind legs. Barbie falls off and Finian runs away.]
Barbie: Finian, come back!
[Barbie sees a pack of wolves approaching her.]
Barbie: Oh, boy.
[The wolves snarl at Barbie and close in on her. She picks up a stick to fend them off. Barbie swings the stick but one of the wolves bites it so she loses grip. Barbie falls down. Majesty runs over and kicks wolves that confront her. The wolves run away and Majesty neighs on her hind legs. She walks over to Barbie and they stare at each other.]
Barbie: So you are real. [Gasps] I knew it. [Reaches out] Thank you.
[Majesty neighs and runs away. Barbie clicks her tongue and whistles to get Finian's attention. Finian had his head down in a bush nearby. He looks around and sounds confused. Barbie laughs.]
Barbie: [Sarcastically] My hero.

Scene 8 (Stacie tries riding Pepper)

[The next day, Etienne watches Stacie horse-riding with Pepper.]
Etienne: Again. Straighten up, mamselle Stacie. Legs pressed together, weight forward. Ah, tres bien. Now pull your horse back to a walk, then stop.
Stacie: Whoa. Whoa! [Yanks reins] Whoa! Whoa!
[Pepper ignores Stacie.]
Stacie: Don't you know how to whoa?!
Etienne: Non, non, non, mamselle. We do not yank the reins. You will only make her...
Stacie: Hey, hey, hey, hey!
[Pepper stops suddenly and then sits down abruptly. Stacie falls off and some people laugh at her. Pepper laughs too. Stacie gets up and walks away.]
Etienne: Oh, les enfants.
[Stacie finds Marlene.]
Stacie: Aunt Marlene, I need a new horse. Mine is busted.
Marlene: No, Stacie, Pepper is your horse, and she chose you for a reason.
Stacie: Yeah, 'cause she craves my public humiliation. She won't do anything I tell her to!
Marlene: Of course she will... When she wants to.
[Pepper neighs and smiles at Stacie. Stacie looks serious.]

Scene 9 (Barbie names Majesty)

[Barbie and Finian are out searching for Majesty. Barbie is wearing a scarf. Majesty is not by the waterfall.]
Barbie: I know you're here somewhere...
[Barbie hears a neigh in the distance and goes towards it on Finian. Barbie sees Majesty's left front leg is caught in some boulders. Barbie gasps and Majesty neighs. Barbie looks very sad and gets off her horse, then approaches Majesty slowly.]
Barbie: It's all right. Everything's going to be just fine. Let me help you, okay? Wow, you really did get stuck, didn't you?
[Majesty keeps neighing loudly.]
Barbie: That must hurt. Easy girl, easy. That's it.
[Barbie strokes Majesty's nose and hums "Fais dodo".]
Barbie: [Singing] Fais dodo
T'auras du lolo
Fais dodo
Ma petite soeur
Fais dodo
T'auras du lolo
[Barbie picks up a stick and tries to lifts the boulder off Majesty's leg. Majesty neighs loudly and runs away. Her leg is bleeding.]
Barbie: Oh, you're bleeding.
[Barbie takes off her scarf and slowly approaches Majesty. Majesty sounds alarmed.]
Barbie: I just want to help you. It's okay. [Hums "Fais dodo".] I owe you this... for the wolves. [Gives Majesty an apple] You're so majestic. I think I'll call you... Majesty.
[Barbie smiles and rests her head on Majesty's and they both close their eyes.]

Scene 10 (Jonas challenges Skipper)

[Skipper is taking photos of Barnaby using a filter to give him a wizard hat, glasses with thick eyebrows, and a party blower.]
Skipper: Okay, one more, Barnaby. And this time, a little more presidential.
Jonas: Hey, tech girl! Ever put that thing down?
Skipper: Oh look, Barnaby, you have a visitor.
[Banarby bleats.]
Skipper: Did you come to have your official portrait taken, monkey boy? [Takes unflattering photo of Jonas] Ooh, that one will look good on a baboon, don't you think?
[Banarby bleats.]
Jonas: Ha! You may be good with a tablet, but I'll bet I can outride you any day.
Skipper: You're on! I'll bring the bananas. Right now, I have some work to do on your portrait. See ya!
[Skipper walks away with Barnaby. Jonas smiles and shakes his head.]
Skipper: [To Barnaby] Is he looking? [Banarby turns around] Don't look. [Barnaby jumps and faces forward.]

Scene 11 (Marlene encourages Chelsea)

[In a stable, Marlene is brushing a horse. Finian nudges her and neighs.]
Marlene: Dinner in a second! [Moves hay bale and sees Chelsea hiding] Oh! Chelsea!
Chelsea: [Whispering] Shh! I'm hiding from Dash.
Marlene: Oh.
[Marlene hides with Chelsea.]
Marlene: [Whispering] Why are we hiding from Dash?
Chelsea: 'Cause she keeps eating my hair!
Marlene: [Strokes Chelsea's hair] It looks fine to me.
Chelsea: Yeah, but she follows me around everywhere and nibbles on my pigtails and gets horse slobber all over my head.
Marlene: I see. [Sniffs Chelsea's hair] Oh, does your hair smell like candy?
Chelsea: Marshmallow Tresses Shampoo. My favorite. It's made with real live marshmallows!
Marlene: Ah. Well, that explains it. Dash loves marshmallows, too.
Chelsea: She does?
Marlene: Oh my, yes. In fact, you two have lots of things in common. She loves pretty ribbons, and things that glitter, and anything pink. Perhaps you should give her another chance.
Chelsea: I don't know.
Marlene: She really, really likes you, Chelsea. And you know, I'll bet she'd look wonderful in sparkly bows.
Chelsea: You think? Hmm, maybe I could pretty her up. We could start with a manicure and then braid her hair. Oh... and then I could use the sparkles and then, maybe I could give her, like, a ...
[Marlene smiles as Chelsea runs out. Finian nudges Marlene again so she feeds him.]

Scene 12 (Philippe finds Majesty's hair)

[Philippe is at the boulders where Majesty was stuck. He sees some of Majesty's pink-streaked hair and inspects it. He gasps when he sees Barbie horse-riding with Finian, then looks back to Majesty's hair. Philippe smiles to himself.]

Scene 13 (Stacie fails cross-country course)

[A crowd cheers for Marie as she horse-rides at Alpine. Skipper films on her tablet while Chelsea stands by her.]
Chelsea: Yeah! Way to go!
Stacie: I got this.
Etienne: Excellent form, Marie, as always! Pity you are too young to compete, hmm? [Marie smiles and nods] Mamselle Stacie, you are next. Remember, you and your mount are as one. You must be the horse!
[Pepper slaps Etienne with her tail and he yelps. Skipper and Chelsea stifle their laughter.]
Etienne: Now, allez-vous!
[Stacie and Pepper get applause as they go through a cross-country course.]
Stacie: All right! Now we're talking! Oh man, I am so good at this!
[Pepper is annoyed by Stacie's gloating. Pepper stops abruptly in front of a water obstacle, so Stacie falls into the water. People laugh at her.]
Stacie: Ugh, yuck!
Etienne: Mamselle Stacie. Perhaps I did not explain. You are supposed to jump through the hedge with the horse.
[Pepper laughs at Stacie. Skipper takes a photo of Stacie.]
Skipper: And that's for this year's holiday card.
[Skipper and Chelsea laugh together.]

Scene 14 (Philippe spies on Barbie)

[Barbie returns to Alpine with Finian. Philippe watches her while hiding in a garbage bin.
Philippe: [Quietly] Bonjour, mamselle. Now, show me what you've found. [Whistles]
[A horse named Hurricane cautiously comes out of hiding and Philippe emerges from the garbage. Marie, Max, Popcorn and Sebastian are approaching, so Philippe and Hurricane hide again. Marie and Max are arguing while holding garbage.]
Max: It's classical.
Marie: So boring!
Max: You see in races, they put roses on the horses...
Marie: I don't--
Max: It's what they're for!
Marie: I like--
[Popcorn and Sebastian bark at the garbage bin. Popcorn paws at the garbage bin.]
Max: Since Mother left it to us to decide, I think the theme for the dance should be "Alpine Primroses in Summertime."
[Philippe rolls his eyes.]
Marie: I was thinking "Robot Samurai."
[Marie and Max dump the garbage into the bin Philippe is hiding in.]
Max: What does that have to do with a horse show?
Marie: What do you think robot Samurai ride around on? Skateboards?
Max: [Scoffs] Really?
[Marie and Max leave. Popcorn runs next to Marie and Sebastian barks at Max.]
Max: You can't put a robot on a horse, it would fall off!
Marie: Why not?!
[Philippe comes out of the garbage bin with a banana peel on his head. He whistles for Hurricane and coughs when the banana peel slides down his face.]
Philippe: [Bangs on bin] Horse!
[Hurricane cautiously emerges and bumps into the bin. The bin lid slams down on Philippe's head.]

Scene 15 (The Majestiques)

[A shortened version of "You're the One" plays. Barbie looks for Majesty. Barbie sees Majesty in the distance. Majesty goes on her hind legs and neighs. They approach each other and Barbie feeds Majesty some sugar cubes. Barbie puts a rope around Majesty and puts a saddle on her. Majesty doesn't want to wear the saddle so Barbie gets on Majesty without one. Majesty begins galloping and Barbie feels scared, but soon finds it fun.]
Barbie: Right! Woohoo!
[Philippe sees Barbie and Majesty and is shocked. Majesty gallops and Barbie smiles until they get to a cliff edge. Barbie looks scared. Majesty leaps over a gap and gets to the waterfall. Majesty goes on her hind legs and neighs.]
Barbie: Where are you taking me?
[Majesty goes behind the waterfall with Barbie. Barbie sees the legendary Valley of the Majestiques.]
Barbie: [Gasps] Majestiques! A whole herd of them!
[The Majestiques neigh at Barbie and Majesty kneels before her. Barbie curtseys to Majesty and then they rest their heads against each other's.]

Scene 16 (Marlene needs to sell Alpine)

[In an office, Marlene looks at some paper and sighs.]
Skipper: Something wrong, Aunt Marlene?
[Marlene looks alarmed and hides the paper. She smiles at Skipper.]
Marlene: It's nothing, dear. Have you, uh, had your lunch yet?
Skipper: Something is wrong. Please tell me. I'm a teenager, so I'll never let this drop.
Marlene: [Sighs] I'm afraid it's nothing you can help with. The fact is I may have to sell the academy.
Skipper: Sell it? But why?
Marlene: Too many bills, too few students. I have tried to hold on, but two weeks ago, I got an offer for the place from Madame Cheynet, of Ecole Montagne. No doubt Philippe's idea. He has never forgiven Etienne for coming here, and if we don't win the tournament prize money, I'll have to accept.
Skipper: You're not going to do it, are you?
Marlene: Alpine has been in our family for generations. [Looks at old photo of Alpine] I was born here. I'd be crushed to lose it, but... [Holds photo] I may have no choice. They're giving me until Tuesday to accept their offer.
Skipper: But won't winning the race bring in new students?
Marlene: Of course, that would be wonderful... but truthfully, we haven't won a tournament in 11 years.
Skipper: This year you've got a secret weapon - the Roberts sisters. Can you hold off the sale, just until after the tournament?
Marlene: I can try... but, Skipper, really...
Skipper: No time to talk! I've got to see a girl about a race!
[Marlene looks down at the photo of Alpine.]

Scene 17 (Skipper sees Majesty)

[Barbie horse-rides with Majesty while Finian grazes nearby. Skipper arrives on a horse named Juniper.]
Skipper: [Whistles and applauds] Way to go, Barbie!
Barbie: Skipper!
Skipper: That is one awesome horse!
Barbie: Oh, Skipper, it was amazing! We were flying! Soaring! This is the horse I've been looking for all my life! But you can't say a word about her. Not until I say so.
Skipper: Barbie, something's happened--
Barbie: Promise you won't! Pinky pledge!
[Barbie and Skipper pinky swear.]
Skipper: When exactly are we too old for that?
Barbie: [Laughs] Never! Okay, my beautiful Majesty. See you tomorrow. Go on now.
[Majesty runs away.]
Skipper: Majesty, I like that. But look, there's something I really need to tell you.
[The scene transitions to after Skipper explains to Barbie.]
Barbie: Lose the academy? That's terrible! Poor Aunt Marlene...
Skipper: Exactly, which is why Alpine has to win this tournament! I'm even violating my strict anti-involvement policy by entering dressage.
Barbie: Well that's perfect, you're fantastic at dressage!
Skipper: And that's why you have to run in the steeplechase. You riding Majesty would totally demolish the competition!
Barbie: Skipper, I can't. Etienne is riding for Alpine. It's tradition. And besides, Majesty needs to stay a secret, at least 'til I get her back to Malibu.
Skipper: A secret? Why?
Barbie: Because Philippe will recognize what she is and know there must be more like her. After we leave, I don't want her herd hunted down and broken. So Majestiques need to stay a fairy tale.
Skipper: But what about the steeplechase? What about us winning the tournament for Aunt Marlene?
Barbie: Look, Etienne is a champion rider. And remember, there's more than one event. With you doing dressage, I'm sure Alpine's got everything they need.
[Skipper looks down.]

Scene 18 (Barbie comforts Stacie)

[Popcorn sees Sebastian sleeping. He wakes up and she jumps on him. Popcorn chases Sebastian and they bark loudly. Barbie exits a stable and sees Stacie skateboarding.]
Barbie: Stacie? You're not practicing for Saturday?
Stacie: Yeah, I dunno, I'm kinda off horseback riding for now.
Barbie: Really? But aren't you signed up for the cross-country trial?
Stacie: Actually, I was thinking about dropping out of that. It's not really my thing.
Barbie: Okay, Stacie, what's wrong? Since when don't you like to compete?
Stacie: Oh, face it, Barbie, I stink at riding! [Throws helmet and skateboard down.] I just don't get it. I've always aced everything I've tried! Skateboards, mountain bikes, wakeboarding, skysurfing, motorcross. So why can't I control a horse?!
Barbie: Stacie, your horse isn't a skateboard. She's a living, breathing being, with her own feelings.
Stacie: Yeah. She's made her feelings very clear to me.
Barbie: Well, maybe you should try to work with her instead of just trying to control her. Make friends, find out what she wants.
Stacie: [Sarcastically] Make friends with a horse? Like what, take her to a movie?
[Barbie tickles Stacie and Stacie giggles.]
Barbie: You know what I mean. Just try it. Oh, and, these sugar cubes won't hurt.
Stacie: [To Pepper] Hi, I'm Stacie! You know, the girl you've been trying to maim? Here, have some cavities.
[Pepper eats the sugar cubes and nudges Stacie. Stacie pets Pepper.]
Stacie: Hey! She likes them! Got any more?
[Barbie laughs.]

Scene 19 (Tournament begins)

Announcer: Welcome to the the 108th Annual Inter-Academy Equestrian Tournament! And, as always, we start things off with the perennially popular pretty pony parade!
[Chelsea competes with Dash. Dash is covered in bows and glitter and has a pink bow in her hair.]
Chelsea: Isn't Dash pretty? And we both smell like marshmallows!
[Skipper films on her tablet and watches with Barbie, Marlene, Stacie, Max and Marie. Marie cheers and jumps up and down while Max applauds.]
Marlene: Oh, look at Chelsea!
[Chelsea wins and holds up her award. Someone compliments her. Next, Skipper and Jonas compete in dressage. Jonas finishes his performance.]
Max: You're up next, Skipper. We're all behind you!
Jonas: Hey, tech girl. Don't tell me you found an app for riding that thing.
Skipper: No app needed. We're doing this strictly old school.
[Jonas smiles.]
Announcer: Next up in the dressage competition, riding for Alpine, Skipper Roberts on Juniper.
[Skipper performs with Juniper. Jonas looks taken aback and so do Albain and Theo. Etienne looks happy. Philippe folds his arms and looks angry. Jonas can't take his eyes off Skipper, even when Albain waves a hand in front of his face. When Skipper is done, her family cheers and applauds along with the audience. The scene transitions to the winner being declared.]
Announcer: And first place goes to Miss Skipper Roberts of Alpine!
[Jonas smiles and applauds. Albain and Theo boo Skipper. Jonas elbows Albain and looks at Theo. Theo flinches and covers his head.]
Jonas: Hmm, perhaps I should acquire one of those tablets.
[Albain and Theo look at Jonas, confused. Skipper smiles with her trophy. The scene transitions to Stacie competing.]
Announcer: Our next event will be the cross-country competition. Stacie Roberts on Pepper, now heading for the double rails of number seven. And the jump is good!
Marie: Yay, Pepper!
[Skipper films Stacie. Barbie watches with Chelsea, Marie, Max, Marlene, Etienne, Popcorn and Sebastian. The kids cheer for Stacie. Popcorn and Sebastian high five.]
Announcer: Now approaching jump eight, the lighthouse. Immediately followed by the pickled frank at number nine. A smooth landing for Miss Roberts and Pepper! Moving strongly now, and they beautifully adapt to the corners. Now, jumping over the brush fence at 10!
[Pepper avoids the fence.]
Announcer: Uh-oh, a run-out. That'll cost them points.
[Barbie and Chelsea look at each other, concerned. Stacie looks determined and continues.]
Announcer: But they recover nicely and go for the triple bar! A clean jump. Heading now for the final and most challenging jump, the keyhole!
Stacie: [To Pepper] Okay, we're friends now right? We go through this jump together this time, not just me. Pretty please?
[Stacie closes her eyes. Pepper jumps through the obstacle.]
Announcer: A perfect jump!
[Stacie rides by her family and Etienne. They encourage her.]
Announcer: And here comes the judges' decision. 1st place, Stephanie Cota and King's Cross of Ecole Montagne!
[Stacie looks disappointed for a moment but smiles. Etienne looks at Philippe. Philippe laughs and Etienne shrugs.]
Announcer: In 2nd place, Stacie Roberts and Pepper of Alpine!
[Stacie's family and Etienne praise her. Stacie gets off of Pepper.]
Stacie: Second place? Not bad. But next year, we hammer 'em!
[Pepper neighs and nods. Pepper and Stacie rest their heads against each other's.]
[The scene transitions to the end of the events.]
Announcer: And that concludes the opening day competitions, with Ecole Montagne and Alpine Academy tied for first place.
[Philippe is angry at Albain and Theo. Sebastian and Popcorn imitate Philippe telling the boys off. Sebastian pretends to be Philippe. When Philippe notices them, the dogs run away.]
Announcer: Tomorrow, the final event, the spectacular steeplechase at Bernwald Racetrack. And don't forget the inter-academy formal dance tonight, right here at Alpine!
Max: [Looking at paper] That's the best we've done in years! What a great day for Alpine!
Marlene: And a long one at that. I suggest we all have a little rest before the dance.

Scene 20 (Getting ready for the dance)

[Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea are in their room getting ready for the dance. The girls yell over each other as they get dressed, do their hair and makeup.]
Chelsea: Where's my blue petticoat?!
Stacie: My shoes shrunk!
Barbie: Nobody move. Oh, how does my hair look?
[Chelsea tries to put on lipstick.]
Skipper: You're too little for lipstick!
Chelsea: No fair!
[Stacie screams when she sees Barnaby chewing her shoe.]
Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea: Barnaby!
Stacie: My shoe!
Barbie: You might as well throw him the other one. Maybe he can chew it to match.
Marie: Um, does this look funny?
[Marie stands in the doorway with Popcorn. Popcorn is panting and wagging her tail. Marie shows her cousins her outfit. They look concerned and pull her into the room to give her a new outfit. Marie smiles as they do her hair, makeup and change her outfit. The Roberts sisters sigh in relief.]
Barbie, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea: Much better!
Marie: Is that... is that me? I love it!
[Marie giggles and picks up Popcorn, then spins around.]

Scene 21 (Horses escape during dance)

[At the dance, Marlene serves punch.]
Marlene: Would you like a glass of punch? It's very tasty. There you go, and one for you. There you go. Would you like some? Yes? All right.
[Marie and Max greet people at the door.]
Marie: Do you like the decorations?
Max: Oh, how are you?
Marie: I know, isn't it beautiful?
Max: Jolly good to see you again. Good evening, Etienne.
Marie: Konnichiwa. That's "hello" in Samurai!
Etienne: [Sees samurai armor on wall] Oh, g-- My, what... interesting decor.
Marie: I knew you'd love it!
Max: [Sighs] Don't ask.
Marlene: [Giving punch to Theo] There we go.
[Theo stands by Albain and Jonas.]
Albain: Yes, I was out riding today.
Jonas: Well, I think that it's going to be quite a bit easier now that...
Theo: Whoa.
[Jonas drops his glass when he sees Skipper and her sisters walk in.]
Stacie: Look, the Odd Squad is staring.
Skipper: Pretend they're not there.
[Max tries to sweep up the glass but Albain drops his glass too. Jonas is stood with his mouth open, as if he's holding a glass. Max groans.]
Barbie: I love this song! Marie, come dance with me!
[Barbie dances with Marie. Philippe eats something and likes it so he takes the whole bowlful and hides it in his coat. Stacie dances with Max, while Chelsea and Marie dance with Barbie. Popcorn and Sebastian dance together. Jonas approaches Skipper while she has a drink.]
Jonas: Hey, nerd girl. You weren't too bad at the dressage trials today.
Skipper: Thanks. Boy, that first prize is heavy.
Jonas: Yeah, yeah. You got lucky.
[Skipper and Jonas look into each other's eyes and then look away.]
Jonas: You, uh, want to dance?
Skipper: I wouldn't want to step on your little second-place feet.
Jonas: I'll take a chance.
[Jonas offers Skipper his hand. Skipper takes his hand and Theo drops his glass. Jonas twirls Skipper around.]
Stacie: Whoa. What were the odds of that?
Barbie: You didn't see that coming?
[Skipper and Jonas dance together. Albain dances with a girl. Etienne corrects Albain's posture. Popcorn and Sebastian dance together. Etienne tries to have a drink, but Philippe knocks it out of his hand.]
Philippe: That is my punch you are drinking, you stuffed sauerkraut sausage!
Etienne: It is mine, you pompous pickled pudding!
Philippe: Creampuff!
Etienne: Bon bon for brains!
Philippe: Chocolate mousse!
[Marie and Chelsea watch Philippe and Etienne argue.]
Marie: I think I'm losing my appetite.
[Marie walks away and Philippe and Etienne continue to argue. Chelsea sees some big horses outside and smiles.]
Chelsea: Oh, Stacie, I'm going out to the corral.
Stacie: Yeah, yeah, that's nice. Have fun.
[Outside, Philippe secretly unlocks the horse corral.]
Chelsea: I'll be right back.
[Philippe hears Chelsea and sneaks away. Chelsea goes to the corral and climbs over the fence. She jumps on a horse without a saddle and the horse rears back on its hind legs. The horse panics and knocks the unlocked corral doors open. The horses escape and Chelsea screams while the horse she is on continues to panic.]
Barbie: Chelsea!
Skipper: Chelsea?
Stacie: Chelsea!
[Barbie runs outside with Stacie, Skipper, Marlene, Jonas and Etienne.]
Barbie: Chelsea! Hold on!
Marlene: Chelsea! Hold on tight!
[Etienne is standing behind the horse. It kicks him hard in the arm.]
Marlene: Etienne!
[Chelsea flies off the horse. People yell Chelsea's name. She lays still on the floor. People ask if she is okay.]
Marlene: Can you hear me?
[Dash sniffs Chelsea's hair.]
Chelsea: Dash! Oh. [Giggles] Stop! I'm okay.
[Everyone sighs in relief and smiles. Stacie looks the most relieved.]
Marlene: She's okay, just a little shaken. She'll be fine.
Skipper: Chelsea, why on Earth--?
Chelsea: I just wanted to ride a big horse, like you and Barbie and Stacie do.
Barbie: [Laughs] Oh, Chelsea.
Marlene: I think you've done quite enough riding for one day. Let's get you inside. And Etienne, we'll need to get a doctor to look at your arm.
Max: Thank goodness she's okay. But what about our horses? They're all gone.
Marie: The race! We must go after them!
Skipper: How? It's dark, and we don't know which way they went.
Jonas: I can track them.
Barbie: Jonas, you know how to do that?
Jonas: I know these hills like Skipper knows her tablet. My friends said we could use their horses.
Skipper: Let's go!
Max: We'll call the neighboring farms and ask them to keep a lookout for the runaways.
Stacie: I'll help!
[Philippe looks from his hiding place and laughs to himself. He eats some food. Barbie and Skipper get changed and use Theo and Albain's horses. They go with Jonas and his horse to find Alpine's horses.]
Jonas: Come on, this way! Hmm.
Barbie: What is it?
Jonas: These tracks... [Inspects tracks] You see that set of prints? That horse is coming from a different direction than the others. Then it joins the rest here.
Skipper: Huh, it's not wearing horseshoes.
[Barbie looks alarmed.]
Jonas: Exactly. Then it appears to lead the herd away, in that direction.
[They follow the tracks until sunrise. They get to some boulders.]
Jonas: I'm afraid that's it. The prints lead onto these rocks, and then vanish. Sorry.
Skipper: Now what? The race is in a few hours, and Alpine's got no horses. Aunt Marlene might as well kiss the school goodbye.
Barbie: [Gasps] Wait! I know where they might be!
[Barbie brings them to the Valley of the Majestiques. They find the Alpine horses there because Majesty led them.]
Barbie: Good job, Majesty!
Skipper: I wonder if she babysits. Four sugar cubes an hour and all the hay she can eat.
Jonas: That horse... The one with the pink mane. What breed is it?
Barbie: A very special one. And they're our secret. Okay?
[Jonas smiles and nods.]
Skipper: Looks like the steeplechase is still on!
[Barbie, Skipper and Jonas head back to Alpine with all the Alpine horses. They encounter Philippe on Hurricane.]
Barbie: [Sarcastically] Monsieur Philippe. What a pleasant surprise.
Philippe: You think you're very clever, don't you? [To Jonas] And you! Traitor! Turncoat! Do not bother returning to L'Ecole! Mamselle Barbie, I owe you a debt of gratitude. I believe you have found a place I have searched for since I was a child... The Valley of the Majestiques. [Holds up Majesty's hair.]
Barbie: Majestiques? But Monsieur, you said they were fairy tales!
Philippe: Ha! That was for my brother's benefit. [Laughs] I have always known they were real, and worth a king's ransom. And now, I know they are somewhere on Alpine land.
Barbie: As you've said, this is Alpine land.
Philippe: Well, after today's race, this land will belong to Ecole Montagne, and soon I will have all the time in the world to find them.
Jonas: Unless, of course, Monsieur Etienne leaves you in the dust.
Philippe: Oh, didn't you hear? My brother's broken arm will keep him from riding.
Barbie: What?
Jonas: Oh, no.
Philippe: But do not worry. Once this land is mine, I may let you look at the Majestiques... For a price! [Laughs]
Barbie: We have to win that race.

Scene 22 (Tournament ends)

[Later that day, it is time for the final event. Stacie, Chelsea, Marlene, Marie, Max and Etienne are in the crowd. They look concerned. Marie and Max are holding Popcorn and Sebastian. Etienne's arm is in a sling.]
Announcer: Day two of the tournament, and we're here at Bernwald Racetrack for the concluding event, the annual 3.2 kilometer steeplechase. Alpine Academy and Ecole Montagne are tied going into this race.
Marie: Aren't Barbie and Skipper coming?
Chelsea: They'll make it here in time! I just know it!
Announcer: Riding for Centre Equestre, Jason Randall. Riding for Ecole Montagne, Monsieur Philippe Cheynet, on Hurricane!
[Popcorn and Sebastian growl.]
Philippe: You lose again, Etienne! [Laughs]
[Etienne grunts.]
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, an announcement. Alpine Academy will not be racing this year.
Etienne: I'm sorry, Marlene.
Marlene: We tried our best.
Announcer: As we approach the top of the hour, registration is now... Wait a moment.
There's a late entry. Riding for Alpine is Barbie Roberts, on Majesty!
[Barbie arrives on Majesty. Majesty is wearing a saddle and headcollar. Everyone looks happy.]
Marlene: [Gasps] Etienne! Is that...
Etienne: [Whispering] Yes. A Majestique.
[Majesty rears on her hind legs and whinnies.]
Barbie: [To Majesty] Easy, now. Easy. The saddle's not so bad. You'll get used to it.
[Majesty neighs as she approaches the starting line next to Philippe and Hurricane.]
Barbie: Whoa, it's okay Majesty.
Philippe: That's a beautiful horse, Ms. Roberts. It will not be yours much longer.
Barbie: We will see, Monsieur.
[Skipper looks at them through her tablet. Jonas is sitting next to Skipper.]
Skipper: Wow! It's like they're real!
[Jonas looks taken aback but goes back to watching the race.]
Announcer: Rider's ready! The wire is up, and they're off!
[People take photos of the race as it begins. The camera shutters clicking and the flashes alarm Majesty. She begins rearing.]
Barbie: Easy, girl, easy. It's all right.
Announcer: Teacher's Pet takes the lead, Prima Donna in second, Way to Go in third! Majesty is rearing at the gate!
[Philippe laughs. Skipper bites her lip and watches Majesty. Jonas, Stacie and Chelsea look worried. People continue taking photos.]
Barbie: That's it. Settle. It's okay. Hya!
[Majesty joins in the race after calming down. Skipper films and everyone smiles. Stacie applauds.]
Barbie: Come on, Majesty. You can do it!
Announcer: Way To Go moving into the number two spot as riders head for the first water ditch!
[A rider falls off a horse. Chelsea looks shocked and Stacie looks uncomfortable.]
Announcer: Raclette is down!
Barbie: You can do this, girl! It's just like the glacier streams!
[Majesty successfully jumps over the ditch. Everyone is happy. Somebody yells encouragement at Barbie.]
Announcer: Rounding the turn to jump four, it's Creme Brulee and Way to Go leading the pack, with Prima Donna dropping back, followed by Teacher's Pet with Hurricane gaining.
[Philippe smacks someone else's horse in the face with his riding crop. The horse stops abruptly and the rider flies off.]
Announcer: Oh, dear. Teacher's Pet has spilled its rider!
[Etienne is annoyed. Marlene, Marie, Popcorn and Sebastian look shocked. Max winces.]
Philippe: [Hits Hurricane hard] Go, you mangy beast!
Announcer: Hurricane passes Prima Donna and challenges Creme Brulee for second as they come to the hedge jump. Majesty still trailing in last place.
[Barbie witnesses Philippe using something sharp in his boot to jab the horse next to him. The rider falls off the horse.]
Announcer: What's this? Creme Brulee is out of the race!
Barbie: That is just plain wrong. Come on, Majesty, let's show him!
Announcer: Making a late charge, Majesty rockets to overtake Prima Donna! Way to Go in first. Barbie Roberts on Majesty continues a spectacular come from behind, challenging reigning champion Philippe Cheynet on Hurricane for second!
[Philippe keeps hitting Hurricane. He tears Majesty's saddle and Barbie falls off the horse. She hits the floor hard.]
Announcer: Barbie Roberts is down! The saddle's come off her horse!
[Majesty rears on her hind legs. People gasp loudly. Skipper hides behind her tablet. Jonas looks sad. Stacie and Chelsea hug each other. Marlene has to stop Etienne from climbing over the barrier in anger.]
Announcer: It looks like Miss Roberts and Majesty are out of the race!
[Barbie gets back up and shakes her head. She gets on Majesty.]
Barbie: He can't stop us. Come on, Majesty! [Takes off Majesty's headcollar] Born free, ride free!
[Majesty starts to run and leaves the saddle and headcollar behind her.]
Announcer: Hurricane now closing in on Way To Go.
[Philippe keeps hitting Hurricane.]
Announcer: Hurricane and Way To Go are neck and neck.
[Philippe elbows the rider next to him hard before a jump.]
Announcer: Oh, Way To Go stumbles! Way To Go at the inside fence refusing the jump. Philippe Cheynet now firmly in first place. Just one more jump before another victory for Ecole Montagne!
Philippe: Alpine and the Majestiques are mine!
Announcer: Wait a moment. Barbie Roberts is back in the race and gaining fast! Philippe Cheynet takes the jump! What's this? Unbelievable!
[Majesty makes the jump at the same time. She jumps higher than Hurricane and looks like she's flying. Everyone is in awe but Etienne looks worried. He cheers hard with everyone else when Majesty lands. Skipper cheers loud and Jonas covers his ears.]
Announcer: Barbie Roberts and Majesty down the stretch! [Philippe hits Hurricane] Philippe Cheynet furiously trying to take back the lead. It's Majesty and Hurricane down the stretch!
[Hurricane has enough of being hit and stops abruptly. Philippe flies off and lands in a pile of manure. Barbie and Majesty cross the finish line.]
Announcer: And the winner for Alpine Academy is Barbie Roberts on Majesty!
[Stacie and Chelsea hug. Marie hugs Max, Popcorn and Sebastian. Marlene and Etienne hug. Hurricane walks over to Philippe and laughs at him.]
Barbie: You did it, Majesty, you did it!
[Barbie and Majesty rest their heads against each other's. The scene transitions to the winner of the tournament being announced.]
Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen! The overall Tournament Cup goes to Alpine Equestrian Academy!
[Barbie and Marlene hold trophies. Skipper stands next to her trophy and cheers with Stacie and Chelsea. Etienne applauds.]
Jonas: Way to go!
Philippe: It is an outrage! I should have won that race! I was unfairly distracted!
Etienne: By what? Your own cheating? We saw what you did, you penguin's patoot!
Philippe: And you are the lint in a baboon's belly button!
Barbie: [Sighs] Here we go again.
[Philippe and Etienne's mother, Bridgette Cheynet, appears.]
Bridgette: Taisez-vous! [Grabs Philippe's ear]
Philippe: Ow!
Bridgette: Now, go to your room! You are on le time out!
Philippe: But Maman! He started it!
[Chelsea laughs at Philippe. Stacie and Skipper smile at each other. Etienne and Jonas smile. Bridgette points and Philippe walks away while hanging his head. Bridgette approaches Barbie.]
Bridgette: You were magnifique! [Kisses Barbie on the cheeks]
Barbie: Uh, thank you, um...
Marlene: Madame Cheynet, the owner of Ecole Montagne. Bridgette, I won't be needing to sell Alpine.
Bridgette: Felicitations, Marlene.
[Bridgette offers her hand to Marlene.]
Bridgette: l am most happy for you. [Taps heart]
[Etienne goes to Majesty. She is wearing flowers around her neck.]
Etienne: Maman... This horse... The legend...
Bridgette: I know. Isn't she beautiful?
[Bridgette strokes Majesty.]
Bridgette: [To Etienne] Come, mon chouchou, I made soup! [Walks away]
Etienne: Do I get a baguette this time?
[The crowd cheers. Barbie poses for a photo with Majesty, Marlene, Skipper, Stacie and Chelsea. Barbie is holding her trophy and Marlene is holding the tournament trophy. Skipper is standing beside her trophy. Marlene frames the photo for Barbie.]
Barbie: [To Marlene:] Thank you. I love it.
[Marie, Max, Sebastian and Jonas are also seeing off Barbie and her sisters.]
Marie: Here's Stacie's last bag. Popcorn and I packed the rest of her stuff. Hey, where is Popcorn? [Popcorn pops out of the bag.] Oh!
[Popcorn jumps into Marie's arms and licks her.]
Barbie: Well, I think that's everything. I just want to thank you again, Aunt Marlene. This has been the best summer ever.
Marlene: No, I thank all of you. Once Skipper posted her video of the race online, our enrolment tripled! I think we will be teaching riders for many years to come.
Marie: At school, I signed up a whole bunch of students for riding and dressage lessons, and one wants to learn to play the banjo, but I signed him up anyway.
[Max sighs and holds his head.]
Jonas: [Helping Skipper with luggage] Well, that's the last of it.
Skipper: Thanks for helping. You're not a bad guy! Sometimes.
Jonas: Careful, you almost said something nice to me.
[Skipper and Jonas smile at each other.]
Chelsea: [To Dash] And since you like marshmallow shampoo so much, I'm gonna send you my next favorite, Scent o' S'mores. [Dash neighs] Yeah, me too. And I'm sorry about all those things I said. You really are a great pony, and just my size. [Hugs Dash]
Stacie: [To Pepper] Okay, I admit it. I'm gonna miss you. Even though you gave my sister years' worth of embarrassing pictures of me, you're still a very cool horse.
[Pepper neighs. Stacie holds her face against Pepper's.]
Barbie: See you in Malibu, Majesty. I think you're gonna like California.
Marlene: You have chosen an amazing horse, Barbie. I am certain you and she will win many, many races together.
[A horse neighs in the distance. There are two Majestiques. One gestures to Majesty to come back. Majesty looks at Barbie and they both look sad.]
Marlene: Barbie, aren't you excited?
Barbie: No. No, I won't do it. [Takes off Majesty's headcollar.]
Marlene: Barbie, what are you doing?
Barbie: Letting her go. I can't, Aunt Marlene. I just can't. She belongs here with her family. I could never take that away from her.
Marlene: That decision comes from your heart. I think it's the right one.
Barbie: [To Majesty] I'll never forget you. Never. Now go.
[Majesty goes back to her herd. In the distance, she kneels for Barbie. Barbie curtseys back.]
Marlene: If you come back, I know she will come back.
[Someone beeps the camper horn.]
Skipper: Come on, Barbie! This thing won't drive itself!
[Chelsea pets Barnaby, who is by the camper. Barbie hugs Marlene and then gets in the camper. Marlene, Marie, Max and Jonas wave and yell their goodbyes.]
Jonas: I'll email you, Skipper!
[As Barbie drives away, Sebastian wags his tail and Popcorn runs after the camper. Marie chases Popcorn. Majesty rears on her hind legs and neighs in the distance.]
Barbie: Okay, now, who's got the boarding passes?
[Barnaby has the passes in his mouth. He bleats and chews the passes. "You're the One" plays over the credits and the final written quote from Barbie is, "If you love something, set it free."]
